Fashion Design Summer Camp for young designers 8-19 Dream of being a fashion designer...find out what it's all about! Start thinking, speaking, and designing like a pro! Project FashionWorks covers the essentials of fashion including: design vocabulary, sketching fashion figures, using markers and understanding how to use colors and fabrics to develop an illustrated men's or women's fashion presentation. Elana Carello will work individually with the up and coming designers and merchandisers, to clearly develop their ideas and showcase their personal style. You can work on your college application portfolio (We have had many students go on to fashion colleges and work in the fashion industry), or just have some fun. All levels of experience are welcome, regardless of whether you've taken art classes before or never picked up a drawing pencil. All you need is a love for fashion and the desire to learn! Choose July 18-22 or July 25-29 Classes held at Warwick Center for the Arts in Warwick RI Workshops can be taken over and over. The curriculum changes and is tailored to each individual student. Visit our website for photos of past classes and more details. (less) ... Read more

Students will work on skit/song memorization, lyric interpretation, and how to connect to the message of their piece. Voice training topics such as diction and projection will help the students learn how to use their voice in an effective and healthy way to communicate . Students will also experience Choreography and "Blockography" which help them move effectively on stage. In addition to that, students will learn basic theatre lingo such as "downstage", "upstage" "wings, "move on one" etc by using them during the rehearsal period. One of the greatest things student gain from this training is getting past STAGE FRIGHT. Students who are shy will benefit tremendously from this program by using all the skills mentioned before in a "TEAM" setting. Our approach to theatrical training is very Interactive and hands on.
